Intergalactic Spaceship GLB Viewer
A cinematic real-time 3D spaceship experience built around an animated GLB model. The project combines smooth orbit controls, model playback, web optimization and a premium sci-fi presentation designed for portfolio use.

timeline
Asset preparation
imported and refined 3D spaceship asset
Selected the spaceship asset, opened it in Blender, reviewed textures, removed the unnecessary Shield mesh and prepared the scene for a clean GLB export.

Web viewer integration
Three.js implementation for portfolio showcase
Built a dedicated browser-based 3D scene with camera setup, orbit controls, responsive layout and automatic centering so the spaceship feels polished and easy to explore.

Animation playback & polish
interaction layer for spaceship viewer
Connected the exported GLB animation to the web scene and added playback control so users can pause and resume the spaceship animation directly on the page.

Overview
This project transforms a static downloadable 3D asset into a complete interactive web presentation. Instead of simply showing screenshots, the page lets visitors inspect the model directly in real time.
The focus was not only on rendering the model, but also on making the experience feel clean, responsive and portfolio-ready, with attention to structure, performance and visual clarity.
How it works
The spaceship is loaded as a GLB model and rendered with Three.js inside a dedicated viewer container. Camera controls allow the user to rotate, zoom and inspect the scene while maintaining a stable, centered presentation.
The exported Blender animation is played with an animation mixer, while a simple UI button gives the visitor direct control over pausing and resuming playback.
Key features
• Real-time GLB model rendering
• Smooth orbit, zoom and interaction controls
• Exported Blender animation playback on the web
• Pause / resume animation button for the user
• Clean sci-fi presentation adapted for portfolio projects
The project also includes asset cleanup work, because the original file required removing an unwanted Shield mesh before the final model was ready for a clean browser presentation.
Vision
The long-term goal is to evolve this spaceship page into a more cinematic 3D presentation with stronger environment lighting, more advanced material polish and an even more immersive landing experience.
Future improvements could include a background starfield, glow thrusters, auto-idle movement, camera presets and a dedicated fullscreen mode for a stronger sci-fi showcase.
Spaceship gallery
This section presents the spaceship project through a more immersive visual showcase, focused on form, animation, and browser-based presentation. Instead of a simple static gallery, the layout is designed to make each stage of the model feel deliberate and cinematic.
The goal is to highlight both the artistic side of the spaceship and the technical work behind it, including real-time rendering, motion, and clean web integration inside the portfolio environment.
Ship profile
The viewer opens with a clean presentation of the spaceship model, placing emphasis on silhouette, proportions, and overall structure. This first stage is designed to make the model feel refined, readable, and visually strong within the page layout.
Live animation
Animation brings the model to life and gives the presentation a more dynamic presence. Rather than behaving like a static portfolio image, the spaceship becomes part of a living scene that feels more immersive and engaging for the viewer.
Web deployment
This part focuses on the technical side of the project, including model preparation, browser rendering, interaction setup, and playback behavior. It presents the spaceship not only as a visual asset, but also as a complete web-based implementation inside the portfolio.
